Privacy policy.

We collect as little as we can. If you fill in a form we keep what you sent so we can act on it. We do not sell personal information, we do not run third-party ad networks, and we do not build profiles of readers. This page says exactly what happens.

What we collect

FormsWhatever you type: your name, email, phone where asked, and the content of your message or submission. Kept so a person can act on it.
NewsletterYour email address, and when you subscribed. Nothing else.
Server logsStandard web server records — IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamp. Used for security and to keep the site running.
AnalyticsAggregate traffic measurement. We do not use it to identify individual readers.
CookiesA consent record, and a flag so the site intro does not replay every page. The consent banner lets you decline anything non-essential.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal information. We do not run programmatic advertising networks, which is the main way reader data leaks off a site like this. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share form submissions with advertisers, and advertisers do not get a reader list.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept while they are useful — a claim or correction stays on file so we have a record of why a listing says what it says. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs rotate on the host’s normal schedule.

If you want something deleted, ask and we will delete it. You do not need to give a reason.

Business information is different

Information about a venue — its address, phone number, opening hours, website — is business information drawn from public records and the venue’s own published material. That is not personal data and this policy does not cover it.

If you run a venue and want its listing removed or reduced, that is handled separately and we honour it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Ask and we will do it — we are not going to make you cite a statute first.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page with a date rather than quietly editing it.

This policy is written in plain language and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before launch it should be checked against the jurisdictions the site actually operates in.
