Accessibility.

We build this site to be readable and navigable with a keyboard, a screen reader, or no JavaScript at all. We also publish what we know about step-free access at each venue — including when the answer is no, or unknown.

The site

Body text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, headings 3:1. Every interactive control has a visible focus outline. Touch targets are at least 44 pixels. Images carry real alt text rather than keyword padding, and decorative images carry none.

Essential content and links are in the initial server response, so the site works with JavaScript off. Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion, and there is a pause control for the ambient movement on the homepage.

Venue accessibility

This is the part that matters more. Many hidden bars are down a flight of stairs, behind a narrow door, or in a basement with no lift — that is often literally what makes them hidden.

Where a venue publishes its access information we repeat it. Where it does not, the listing says we do not know rather than leaving a hopeful blank. We never guess at step-free access. Getting that wrong strands somebody outside a door.

Tell us when we get it wrong

If something on this site is unusable, or if we have published access information about a venue that is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. That is a correction like any other and it goes to the front of the queue.
